Animal lovers in Reno will have a chance to raise a glass and support pets in need as a popular community fundraiser returns this week.
The SPCA of Northern Nevada is bringing back Tails and Ales on Friday, March 20, at Abby’s Highway 40, 424 E Fourth St. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and continues through closing.
Organizers say the evening will feature specialty drinks, local food, and a community raffle, all supporting the SPCA of Northern Nevada and its work helping pets.
Two specialty drinks will be featured during the event, with 20% of the proceeds benefiting SPCA of Northern Nevada programs and services.
Food will also be available from the Dumpling Food Truck during the event.
A community raffle will also take place during the evening. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase, with cash preferred. Guests wearing SPCA of Northern Nevada merchandise will receive one free raffle entry for a chance to win prizes.
SPCA of Northern Nevada leaders say the event is designed to bring people together while supporting the organization’s programs, helping pets and the people who care for them.
“We’re always looking for fun and creative ways to engage the community while furthering our mission,” said Sydney Denham, Communications Supervisor at SPCA-NN. “Tails & Ales is the perfect way to bring people together for a great cause in a welcoming atmosphere.”
The event is open to people 21 and older. Organizers say while Abby’s Highway 40 has a pet-friendly patio, the event is not a bring-your-own-dog gathering.
