The Truckee River Flood Management Authority has teamed up with a local Reno filmmaker to release a new short documentary about flooding.
The documentary, called "It Could Happen Tomorrow" and clocking in at just under seven minutes long, takes a look at the Truckee River's history of flooding, including the 1997 flood that caused around $700 million in damage in the Reno area.
The documentary also covers what mitigation steps are in place to handle future floods, and what you can do personally to help mitigate flood issues on your own property.
The organization worked with award-winning Reno video producer Bryon Evans Films to put the documentary together.
You can get more information about the TRFMA and resources related to flood mitigation at the TRFMA's website.
