Families looking to cool off over the holiday weekend will soon have two more options in Washoe County as splash parks in Spanish Springs and the North Valleys prepare to reopen for the summer season on Saturday.
According to online posts on the Lazy 5 Park and North Valleys Splash Park Facebook pages, both splash parks will begin summer operations on Saturday, May 23.
The Melio Gaspari Splash Park at Lazy 5 Regional Park and the North Valleys Splash Park will each operate from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Admission to the Melio Gaspari Splash Park is $4 per person, while admission to the North Valleys Splash Park is $5 per person. Officials also said the North Valleys Splash Park will feature a brand new surface this summer.
Both splash parks will be open weekends only until school is out before switching to daily operations beginning Wednesday, June 10.
