On Monday, the Regional Crime Suppression Unit (RCSU), Washoe County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, and the U.S. Probation Office assisted the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) with executing a high-risk fugitive warrant.
Marcus Allen Martinez was wanted by the USMS for a Supervised Release Violation warrant.
Martinez, who was convicted of Sexual Abuse of a Minor and Sex Offender Failing to Register, was taken into custody in Lemmon Valley.
Martinez, in the past, had made threats of having a firearm the next time the Marshals came after him.
“I want to thank all the agencies involved with apprehending this dangerous fugitive," said District of Nevada U.S. Marshal Gary Schofield.
