Nevada State Police has identified the motorcycle rider who died after a collision with a semi-truck near Silver Springs last week.

NSP says the crash happened on US 95A north of Spruce Avenue just before 5 a.m. last Wednesday

NSP says the rider, 33-year-old William David Hulsey of Reno, was driving a 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle south on 95A when he tried to pass a car in front of him in a no-passing zone and hit a trailer on a 2004 Peterbilt that was turning left from Spruce to 95A. 

Hulsey was thrown from the motorcycle and died on scene. 

The crash remains under investigation.Â
