Republican John E. Sununu will face Democrat Chris Pappas in November in the race to replace retiring U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen in New Hampshire. Democrats need to hold the seat to have a chance of flipping control of the chamber in November. Sununu was ousted from the Senate by Shaheen in 2008. He was one of two former senators seeking to return to Washington. Pappas left his seat in the 1st Congressional District after four terms to run for Senate. Anthony DiLorenzo has won the Republican primary in that district, while Lily Tang Williams has won the GOP nomination in the 2nd District. She'll face the Democratic incumbent, Maggie Goodlander, who is seeking a second term.
