Some party members are skipping the convention, citing scheduling conflicts or high attendance fees. Organizers say they're out to showcase Trump’s successes and Republican causes. Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman gave surprise remarks via video, but the convention is mostly focused on Trump. Also speaking are his eldest son and other party leaders.
