The fire station across from the World Trade Center has become a key stop along the route for visiting the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people. All day long, tourists stop at “Ten House,” as it’s known, to take photos and chat with firefighters. Six members of the station were among the 343 New York City firefighters who perished that day. After 25 years, Sal Argano is the last from the crew that was the first to respond when terrorists hijacked and crashed two jetliners into the twin towers.
