President Donald Trump is campaigning in Nebraska alongside GOP Sen. Pete Ricketts, who faces an independent candidate backed by national Democrats. Trump’s visit is part of a 32-day rally blitz ahead of the midterm elections. Voters are frustrated with Trump’s handling of the economy, including high fuel and grocery costs. Nebraska ranchers are particularly upset about Trump’s plan to allow more imports of foreign beef, which they argue will undercut them. Despite these concerns, Trump has dismissed economic issues on the campaign trail. The administration’s approach to foreign beef imports has sparked significant backlash in the agriculture-rich state.
