Vice President JD Vance says he’s “disgusted” by the pushback from fellow Republicans to an ad Vivek Ramaswamy is running against his Democratic opponent for Ohio governor, Dr. Amy Acton. During a visit Wednesday near Cincinnati, the Republican vice president said politics is "a tough business.” The advertisement features Acton’s birth mother, Donna Arthur, calling her “a liar.” Arthur lost custody of her children after their stepfather was indicted for raping Acton. On Wednesday, Ohio Sen. Jon Husted became the most prominent Republican to speak out against the ad, saying in a statement to The Associated Press that he would not have run it.
