The Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) is hosting the 50th Far Westerns National Qualifier at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center over three weekends.

Over 1,500 teams from about 20 different states will compete for a spot in the Junior National Championships.

"Far Westerns is the most competitive tournament in the NCVA Region, with top-level teams and athletes coming together from across the country. It’s not far-fetched to assume future Division 1 athletes, and Olympians will be competing,” said Donna Donaghy, commissioner of the NCVA since 1994. “We can’t thank the City of Reno and the staff at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center enough for what they’ve done for Far Westerns and, by extension, the sport of volleyball.”

The Qualifier is split into three weekends, April 13-15, April 20-22, and April 26-28, to help with hotel availability and reduce foot traffic. Over 40,000 people are expected to attend throughout the three weekends.
