Two drivers are facing charges after a K9 deputy detected illegal drugs in their vehicles.
Storey County Sheriff’s Office says on May 12, K9 Chino detected the odor of illegal drugs on two vehicles during traffic stops in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center.
After an investigation, deputies say they seized a total of 4.2 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
In addition to the narcotics, deputies say one of the drivers also had outstanding warrants.
Both drivers have been booked in the Storey County Detention Facility on the following charges:
53-year-old Jeremy Bein
Possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance, less than 14 grams
Use or possession of drug paraphernalia
Arrest for violation of a condition, or release.
30-year-old Jordan Obert
Possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance, less than 14 grams
Use or possession of drug paraphernalia
