I have dedicated my career to serving Carson City. From 1985 to 2020, I spent 35 years with Carson City Public Works, beginning on a water crew and advancing through the organization to Deputy Public Works Director. In 2022, I was elected Carson City Supervisor for Ward Three. My experience has given me a practical understanding of the infrastructure, services, finances, and people that keep our city running. Throughout my career, I have focused on solving problems, being accountable with public resources, and getting Things done. I am proud to continue putting that experience to work for Carson City.

WHAT IS YOUR TOP PRIORITY IF ELECTED?

For me, public service has never been about politics. It has been about solving problems and serving the community I have called home for decades.
As your supervisor, I will continue to focus on fiscal responsibility, strong public safety, reliable infrastructure, and protecting the quality of life that makes Carson City special. Essential services must be adequately staffed and equipped, while taxpayers deserve careful stewardship of every public dollar.
My 35 years in public works taught me that roads, water, sewer, utilities, and other infrastructure may not always make headlines, but they are fundamental to A well run city. I will continue working to complete our corridor and infrastructure projects responsibly and to keep Carson City safe, functional, and attractive.
I also support our local businesses by reducing unnecessary barriers and creating an environment where businesses can invest, grow, and succeed.
As Carson City grows, we must support our parks, open space, recreational opportunities, and unique character. I will work to ensure that growth pays its fair share and that development does not diminish the community we value.

IN JUST A FEW SENTENCES: WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM FACING THE CITY, AND HOW WOULD YOU FIX IT?

Carson City’s biggest challenge is managing growth without losing the quality of life that makes our community special. Growth affects housing, roads, water, public safety, parks, schools, and the cost of providing city services. We must plan for all of those impacts, not address them one at a time after the problem occurs.
Housing affordability is an important part of the challenge. We need housing options for working families, seniors, and young people who want to remain in Carson City. Local government can help by making the permitting process predictable and efficient, removing unnecessary barriers, and working with responsible developers and community partners.
But growth must also pay its fair share. Existing taxpayers should not be expected to shoulder the cost of infrastructure and services required by new development.
With 35 years of public works experience, I understand the importance of planning infrastructure before it becomes a crisis. My priority will be thoughtful, responsible growth that protects our water resources, maintains public safety, invests in roads and infrastructure, and preserves the character of Carson City for the next generation.
