Remains have been identified belonging to a woman reported missing in Lyon County in April.
On April 15th the Lyon County Sheriff's Office was given information about 25-year-old Sara Arlene Filiatraut, who was the subject of a missing person report filed in Michigan.
That report said her last known location was in Lyon County on March 21st.
Authorities investigated for around five weeks before discovering the remains of Filiatraut in a remote part of Churchill County.
Churchill County Sheriff's Office detectives and members of Churchill County Search and Rescue helped Lyon County Sheriff's Office detectives with their search.
Law enforcement is treating the case as a homicide, though autopsy findings are still pending.
