Police have arrested a Reno man in connection with this weekend's fatal stabbing near 8th and Spokane Streets.

Police say investigators determined that the suspect, Frazier Pierce Young was inside a home near Manhattan Street and Carville Drive early Monday morning.

They say they started negotiating with the man around 3:30 a.m.

Eventually SWAT was called in - and the suspect surrendered peacefully before 7 a.m.

Police say no one was hurt.

Young was arrested and booked into the Washoe County where he faces an open murder charge. 

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Reno Police Department responded to 8th and Spokane Streets around 5 a.m. Sunday and found a man on the sidewalk bleeding from a stab wound.

Police say he died from his injuries at the scene. Detectives with the Reno Police Department's Robbery/Homicide Unit are investigating it as a homicide.

The victim's name has not been released.
