The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has a new K9 team. They made the announcement on social media on Monday.
Detective Nick Walker and K9 Kilo completed a six-week K9 handler and patrol certification course, according to the post on Facebook.
Their training included obedience, tracking, suspect apprehension, and other specialized law enforcement disciplines required for operational K9 teams.
The new team has been assigned to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division – Special Investigations Unit.
They will support investigative operations and assist patrol personnel throughout Lyon County.
