Reno-Sparks Gospel Missions Random Act Of Kindness

Random Acts of Kindness hit the streets today.

It's a Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission effort to help those in need with holiday baskets.

They usually do it during Christmas time, but this year, the need called for Thanksgiving baskets as well.

200 baskets were given and for some, this means more than just one Thanksgiving meal.

“I am a single mom and I work really, really hard, and my daughter's disabled and you know, if I can try to make the holidays a little easier for the both of us, I’ll do it, I’ll try,” Jennifer Moss, basket recipient.

The recipients didn’t have to sign up, or answer any complicated question, free baskets were given to those who wanted them.

Volunteers say it is not all about the food as the baskets themselves are satisfying enough.

“Times are hard and just to know that they're not alone,” says volunteer, ?Billy Wozniak.

The Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission will be distributing 200 more baskets through neighborhoods just as they did Wednesday, for Christmas.

That one will happen on December 15th.
