Starting Thursday night, Cosmic Baseball kicks off at the Greater Nevada Field for a three-night stretch of games.
If you don't know, Cosmic Baseball means a lot of glowing during the evening and, of course, entertainment turning the night into a cool black-light festival.
The games will feature the Cosmic Chili Peppers and the Glow Mojis.
So what glows exactly?
Well, everything! The players, bats, baseballs, uniforms, and the field itself will all come to life at night.
Chris Martin, the Owner & Founder of Cosmic Baseball, tells us, "At the end of the day, once we focus on sports entertainment, the players are engaged, everyone is participating, and the biggest piece and what everyone came out to see is the cosmic portion of it. We've installed over 100 black lights around the stadium, and the purpose of it is you're not just watching the game; you're becoming a part of the experience."
But what makes it different?
They say the competition is unmatched, with high-level baseball players who know how to play and how to compete.
But the big difference is the high level of engagement between the players and the fans.
Martin tells us, "You might see them running the bases backwards. You'll see three minutes of chaos, and in that moment the ball goes back out in the crowd. We're expecting you to get it back in, throwing guys out at home plate, throwing guys out at third, all those fun things, but the thing is once you go cosmic, it's nothing like you've ever seen in the world."
Eric Edelstein, President of the Reno Aces, says, "It's incredible. I think it's going to be the most unique event that we've ever seen here at Greater Nevada Field. You know, when have you seen glow-in-the-dark baseball?"
They also have block parties before the games where you can meet some of the performers and get autographs from the players.
Right now they just have two teams, but they would love to expand in the future.
This year they have a 30-city tour playing in front of 750,000 fans.
