A Sparks man has been arrested on burglary and weapons charges, including theft of a weapon.

34-year-old Cristen Green was arrested on two counts of burglary, grand larceny of a gun and own/possess gun by a prohibited person.

On Friday, December 15 just after 12:30 p.m. officers with the Reno Police Department were dispatched to the Boys & Girls Club on East Ninth Street in Reno on reports of a suspicious person.

The person entered the building and removed a set of car keys belonging to an employee. Another employee followed the person outside, confronted him and was able to remove the keys from his hand.

When officers arrived, they were directed to a home on Shoshone Drive that had been burglarized according to a release from the Northern Nevada Repeat Offender Program.

Evidence at the scene implicated Green who was positively identified on video at the Boys & Girls Club as the suspect.

Green, who qualifies for habitual treatment due to his lengthy criminal history, later admitted to his involvement.
