If you're a big fan of snowshoeing or if you've never done it but always wanted to, you'll have your chance this weekend, and all for a good cause.
The Tahoe Mountain Milers Running Club hosts their "Fresh Tracks" 5K Snowshoe Walk and Race on Sunday, February 25th at 10 a.m. at the Camp Richardson Resort.
Money raised will go to fight metastatic breast cancer in honor of Running Club member Rene Gorevin, local Lake Tahoe area doctor Kelly Shanahan, local mom Adrienne Shepard, and other Lake Tahoe women.
Early pre-registration by February 22nd is $35 plus a processing fee and includes event swag, snowshoe rental if you need snowshoes, post-race refreshments, and continued day use of groomed Camp Richardson trails.
Race day registration is $45 and will be at the Ice Cream Parlor.
