The Washoe County School District has started hiring chartered buses to deal with a shortage of drivers.
The District said they've hired the buses to pick up middle and high school students.
The buses are picking up at "bus hub" sites at schools which we've reported on and taking the students to campuses.
There is a school district employee on each charter bus.
The district says they have 85 vacancies for bus drivers and they've seen sick calls more the double among their existing drivers.
