Colombia is grappling with the aftermath of a devastating earthquake that killed at least 287 people and affected more than 100,000. Tens of thousands of homes were damaged or destroyed in Cali, Pereira, and Manizales in the 7.4 magnitude that struck the country's west on Monday. President Abelardo de la Espriella, who is visiting affected areas Friday, has announced plans to partner with private companies to rebuild. Aid is slowly reaching affected areas, but many people have to rely on volunteers and neighbors for help. The government is focusing on temporary housing, food, and healthcare as international support continues to arrive.
