President Donald Trump says he has paused the effort to guide vessels from the Strait of Hormuz to finalize a deal with Iran to end the war. Trump announced the decision in a social media post Tuesday evening. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment offering further detail. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said earlier that major U.S. military operations against Iran are over. But he stopped short of saying the conflict can't restart.
