For the last three days, tabletop game enthusiasts have been playing board games and role-playing games at Ragecon.
The event is being held at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center for the first time in its history, and event organizers say it has gone well.
"This space is huge, and obviously at the convention center we have a lot of room to grow year to year. Everyone has loved that it is a little more spread out now, they're not all jammed together. So, when you look around, it feels like maybe less people this year, but we are over attendance from last year," said Jeff Jones, Director of Ragecon.
Because of the large space, there are any different games and activities to choose from.
Some attendees are testing new games, competing in tournaments, playing for prizes or even buying things from exhibitors.
One attendee we spoke with has been going for years, and he says he does his best to never miss the event.
"The whole experience is my favorite part. I get to see other people, I get to mingle with people I haven't seen in a year or longer, I get to mingle with people I see on a day-to-day basis, and I get to meet new people," said Mark Webb.
As the event has grown over the years, more people from out of town have started attending.
Attendees say they enjoy meeting new people and sharing their passion for certain games with others.
Next year will be Ragecon's ten-year anniversary, which organizers say should be the best Ragecon event yet.
