California Drought Speeds Up Water-Efficiency Standards

The Washoe County Health District has issued a no-use order for portions of Verdi, after water there tested positive for E. coli and t coliform bacteria. 

The order affects the River Belle Mobile Home Park, River Belle Market and nearby post office areas. 

The health district issued a boil water order earlier in the day, but changed it late Friday afternoon to no-use when the tests confirmed the bacteria. 

There’s no immediate word on when the order will be lifted.

The Washoe County Health District is conducting additional tests on the water at the time of this writing.Â
