The pandemic forced Urban Roots to temporarily shut down its teaching farm. Now, with a renewed interest in gardening, the nonprofit is expanding to reach more people in the community.
Nonprofit Urban Roots teaches kids about food and nutrition. Most of the teaching is usually done at their urban farm on East 2nd Street in Reno.
