Representatives of a national nurses union visited Reno on Tuesday to support Bernie Sanders.
National Nurses United was the first nationwide union to endorse Sanders back in August. And today its representatives drove through Reno on a large bus to support Sanders ahead of this Saturday’s Democratic caucus.
"He is the candidate who really matches our values and is talking about the same issues we've been talking about for years and years, we go back 25 years with working towards trying to promote single payer health care for example and he's really the one candidate that's taken that position on,” says David Welch.
Welch says its union members gave overwhelming support to Sanders during a poll of its nearly 185,000 members.
