Parole & Probation Seeks Man Convicted of Robbery

The Division of Parole and Probation is asking for help finding a man convicted of robbery who disappeared in June.

Law enforcement says 19-year-old Nicholas Verlon Dykes was convicted of one count of robbery and one count of possession of stolen property.

Authorities say Dykes absconded from supervision in June 2016 and all attempts to locate him have been unsuccessful. His exact whereabouts are unknown, but recent information shows that he may be in the Sparks area.

Officials say Dykes has a history of violence, substance abuse and gang affiliation, and he is classified as dangerous.  They want to caution the community against making personal contact given Dykes' violent tendencies.

Dykes is described as 5’ 9", 155 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of "97" on his left shoulder, a tattoo of "19" on his right shoulder and a tattoo of a cross and praying hands on his arm.

If you know where he is, call the Division of Parole and Probation Fugitive Apprehension Unit at 775-684-2644.
