President Trump participated in the virtual Group of 20 Summit (G20) on Saturday with nearly two-dozen other world leaders in attendance.
In a pre-taped speech from the White House, President Trump spoke against the Paris climate accord, claiming it was designed to inflict ruin on the U.S. economy.
In the speech, Trump stated, "The Paris accord was not designed to save the environment, it was designed to kill the American economy. I refuse to surrender millions of American jobs and send trillions of American dollars to the world's worst polluters and environmental offenders, and that's what would have happened."
Sources say the president skipped a special side-conference focused on the coronavirus pandemic.
The G20 summit is set to end on Sunday.
