Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve and a senior White House official will tour sites around northern Nevada where American Rescue Plan Act funds have been used.

The project cost around 5 million dollars, with 3 million from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). 1.6 Million came from ARPA funds delivered by the state.

The fencing project will begin in Spring 2024, and the city expects it to be finished by 2026.

For Fiscal Year 2023, Nye County has allocated $2 million in ARPA funds to assist local Small Businesses.

The emergency shelter originally opened in May 2021.

Funding categories are flexible and meant to allow for a broad range of projects to help our community recover.  

The Board approved grants ranging from $2,000 to $252,000 to 24 local non-profits.

Three entities were denied because their projects did not meet the requirements of ARPA.

The Department of Health and Human Services announced the distribution of more than $43 million to support behavioral health needs throughout Nevada.
