As Earth Day was celebrated on Monday League to Save Lake Tahoe, also known as Keep Tahoe Blue, wanted to do their part to give back to the planet.

Some coffee shops in the northern Nevada area are celebrating Earth Day with special deals and events.

AlpenGlobal Capital, a Tahoe City business, is partnering with Clean Up The Lake, a non-profit organization, to host a cleanup for Earth Day.

The University of Nevada, Reno is hosting events in celebration of Earth Day on Monday, April 22.

ImpactNV will be working with communities to plant 100,000 trees over a 10-year period.

As a non-profit organization, all of the money for the admission tickets go straight to supporting the animals in need.

Community leaders called for bold action on Earth Day with a new climate mural in downtown Las Vegas as their backdrop.

 The Liston Park event will include the planting of two trees, generously donated by ImpactNV.

Free service will be available on Route 16 Special to and from the Earth Day event only.
