  • Chris Larson An upper level trough will usher in another round of showers and thunderstorms for Friday afternoon and evening… with critical fire weather across the state on Friday. The most likely timeframe for storms in the Reno and Carson City area is between 2 pm and 7 pm Friday evening… but a bulk of the storminess pushes north. Later in the evening places like Lovelock and Winnemucca hold the better chance for storms through midnight. Saturday will feature slightly cooler temperatures here in Reno with highs in the upper-80s. There will still be a low chance for thundershowers in far northern Nevada Saturday afternoon and evening. Sunny and hot Sunday with highs climbing back into the low-90s as high pressure once again builds across the west. Temperatures are set to soar back into the upper-90s by the middle of next week.
