Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal hit-&-run crash on East Prater Way near Probasco in Sparks.

An investigation is underway after a kitchen fire on Hood Avenue off of Valley Road in Reno.

Police say the teen was hit by the car while in the middle of the crosswalk.

The fire occurred in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue late Wednesday morning. 

Washoe County Deputies advise drivers to take an alternate route. 

Fire officials say a passerby alerted authorities to smoke coming out of the front door.

A plume of smoke could be seen across much of the valley.
