Summer temperatures ahead through Thursday with high pressure centered over Mexico dominating the weather pattern. We’ll see highs in the upper-90s Tuesday afternoon… and hold in the 90s through Thursday. Tuesday will be the hottest day of the week as temperatures reach the upper 90’s in the Truckee Meadows. Fallon and Fernley will be a degree or two hotter than Reno. No need for a jacket in the morning, with overnight lows in the upper 50’s and low 60’s. An upper level trough moves in the for the end of the work week and the weekend… with temperatures tumbling for Saturday and Sunday. Over a four day span will go from ten degrees above average to ten to fifteen degrees below average for the weekend. Stay tuned… and we focus on wind and any precipitation chances for later this week. Currently, precip chances look low.
