The Buffalo Sabres have shed the burden of a 14-year absence from the Stanley Cup playoffs that set a dubious NHL record and surged toward their next big thing. Beating the Boston Bruins at home in Game 5 will send the Sabres to the second round for the first time since 2007. The Anaheim Ducks are also on the verge of a clinch. They'll play Game 5 on the road against the Edmonton Oilers. The Dallas Stars and the Minnesota Wild also take the ice on Tuesday with their series tied at two games apiece.
