Reno City Council members are prioritizing projects after discovering higher revenues and lower expenses left a $10-million surplus in the budget.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports (http://on.rgj.com/1yMnnla) the City is looking at paying off $2.3 million in debt, using $1.4 million to clean up a urine-soaked city hall parking garage, and spending $200,000 apiece on installing public restrooms downtown and public wifi in Midtown.
Fixing city hall's elevators is also on the list of projects, at a cost of about $600,000. The final vote on how the money will be spent is expected April 29. (AP)Â
