  • South Lake Tahoe Police Department Turns 50
    • The South Lake Tahoe Police Department was formed in 1967 and will be hosting a celebratory 50th Anniversary event for the community.
    • Saturday, May 20th, 2 p.m. to 6 p.mm at Lakeview Commons.
    • The event will also include the Annual Award ceremony honoring SLTPD employees and community members at 4pm.
  • Doggy Costume Party and BBQ
    • Join the South Lake Tahoe Wedding & Honeymoon Association at this family and four legged friendly summer kick off BBQ. There will be a doggy costume contest, BBQ, Band, and opportunity to have your dog/family portrait by a professional photographer. Proceeds benefit Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care. $15 admission includes BBQ and drinks, register in advance and get a free doggy treat bag when you arrive.

  • Animal Ark Stampede 5k Run
    • This is a  5K fun run through the Animal Ark facility with many of family-friendly activities:  raffle prizes, face painting, reduced or free admission to the Ark, vendors, exhibitors, and more.
