To meet the community's needs, due to an increase in the demand for food pantry services, Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada has adjusted its food pantry schedule.
The new food pantry schedule will be as follows:
- St. Vincent’s Food Pantry's Main Campuslocated at 500 E. Fourth Street will be open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the first Saturday of the month.
- North Valleys Neighborhood Center is located at 440 E. Golden Valley Road will be open Mondays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Moana Neighborhood Center located at 480 E. Moana Lane will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sun Valley Neighborhood Center located at 130 West Gepford Parkway will be open Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
According to Catholic Charities, the food pantries offer fresh, nutritious, and culturally preferred foods to the community. People can receive food once per month.
For families and individuals unable to visit their main campus location, the neighborhood centers offer a one-stop shop of services including case management, immigration assistance, homelessness prevention, benefit enrollment, and more.Â
