City of Sparks representatives say they have decided to cancel Saturday's Passport Fair due to concerns about the potential spread of viruses such as COVID-19.
The City says it wants to follow CDC and Washoe County Health District guidelines encouraging social distancing. It will reschedule the passport fair at a later date.Â

When the fair is rescheduled, passport applicants must bring proof of citizenship and a photo ID to complete their application.
Proof of citizenship documents include:
• Certified copy of US birth certificateÂ
• Certificate of citizenshipÂ
• Naturalization certificateÂ
• Previous US passportÂ
• Report of birth abroadÂ
If customers have not yet obtained a REAL ID, they will need to bring additional identification to verify their identity. There are also specific requirements when submitting an application for a child under the age of 16. Go to www.travel.state.gov for further information and to download all passport applications.
Passport Cards are only valid for land and sea crossings between the U.S and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean.
