In front of 3,602 fans Tuesday morning, the Nevada women’s basketball team pulled out a 57-51 win over San Francisco State to claim its first victory of the season and gave coach Jane Albright career win No. 497. The win is also Albright’s 100th victory at Nevada.

Nevada was led in scoring today by senior Nyasha LeSure, who returned to double figure scoring with a game-high 16 points. LeSure had a solid shooting day hitting 5-of-9 overall, including a late three-pointer that gave the Wolf Pack (1-8) some cushion down the stretch. Freshman Riana Everidge also got into double figures with a 10-point outing and nearly collected her first career double-double after pulling down nine rebounds.

Nevada is set to go on a bit of a hiatus from competition and will return to the floor at Pacific on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m.
