EmployNV is hosting a series of career events throughout September across Northern Nevada, offering in-person resume support, interview workshops, and direct connections to hiring employers.
Events are open to the public, with walk-ins welcome and pre-registration available through the EmployNV.gov event calendar.
In Lovelock, EmployNV will hold a Career Services Event on Wednesday, September 17, at the Pershing County Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees will receive resume, interview, and job search guidance.
Also on Wednesday, September 17, the EmployNV Career Hub located at 2281 Pyramid Way in Sparks will host a Resume & Career Search Workshop at 2 p.m., focused on strategies for building effective resumes and conducting job searches.
Battle Mountain job seekers can attend another Career Services Event on Monday, September 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Frontier Community Coalition located at 370 South Mountain Street. The event will provide skill-building and employment connections.
On Wednesday, September 24, the Fernley Branch Library, located at 575 Silver Lace Boulevard, will host a career fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring employers across industries.
Companies expected to attend the events include Allied Universal, Tesla, Lyon County Sheriff, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Panasonic Energy, BoxOut, Sherwin-Williams, Boys & Girls Club, Agru America, Nevadaworks, Rice Lake Weighing System, Banner Health, and others. Attendees are encouraged to bring resumes and dress professionally.
Reno’s EmployNV Business Hub located at 4001 S. Virginia Street, will hold a hiring event for GMT Care on Wednesday, September 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The company is hiring patient transporters at $20.00 per hour. Full details are available by clicking here. Â
Another event in Sparks on Wednesday, September 24, offers a Mock Interview Workshop at 2 p.m. at the EmployNV Career Hub located at 2281 Pyramid Way, where attendees can practice interview techniques and receive real-time feedback.
In Carson City on Thursday, September 25, EmployNV will hold a Resume Workshop from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Career Hub, located at 1929 North Carson Street. Later that morning, a hiring event for Dayton Taphouse will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the same location. Pay for available positions ranges from $12.00 to $20.00 per hour. Also on Thursday, September 25, in Carson City, the United States Postal Service will be interviewing for city carrier assistant positions paying $20.73 per hour. Interviews will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the EmployNV Business/Career Hub. Details can be found by clicking here.
On Friday, September 26, EmployNV will bring career services to two rural locations.
In Hawthorne, services will be available from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Elks Lodge located at 595 West 5th Street.
In Schurz, job seekers can visit VFW Post 6825 Hall, located at 1109 Cottonwood Drive, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Both locations will offer resume support, training information, and employer connections.
