Health Watch: Blood shortages
- Updated
Local blood supplies are running low in the region, raising concern among health officials. In this week’s Local Health Watch, experts are highlighting how critical donations are—especially in emergencies, where a single crash victim can require blood from up to 100 donors. Community members will have an opportunity to help next month at the 2News Nevada Give 2 Live blood drive at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, but officials stress that every donation year-round can make a life-saving difference.
