An injured back country skier is safe after Washoe County Sheriff's RAVEN and SAR volunteers made the successful rescue.
Washoe Sheriff tweeted Saturday evening that RAVEN and SAR volunteers were dispatched, just before 5:30 p.m., to assist North Lake Tahoe Fire with an injured county skier near the Mt. Rose summit. RAVEN crew and HASTY Team airlifted the skier to Mt. Rose Highway for transfer to an ambulance.Â
