Last Days to Register to Vote in Primary are Nearing

All parties increased their voter registration numbers in September 2014, as shown by data released by Secretary of State Ross Miller's Elections Division. The number of statewide registered active voters increased by 14,685 from the previous month.

Of the 1,203,095 active registrants statewide, 39.87% (479,732) are Democrats, 34.68% (417,207) are Republicans, 19.12% (230,043) are nonpartisan, 4.67% (56,149) are members of the Independent American Party, and the remaining 1.66% (19,964) are members of the Libertarian or other minor parties.

Miller reminds the public that the first voter registration deadline is this Saturday, and to register or update their information to ensure they can cast a ballot in the 2014 general election.

The deadlines to register to vote in the November 4 General Election are Saturday, October 4, by mail, and Tuesday, October 14, online at

www.registertovotenv.org

or in person at the county clerk or registrar's office.
