Authorities say one driver was hospitalized after a semi-truck and pickup collided head-on on Surprise Valley Road north of Highway 445, north of Pyramid Lake.
The accident happened before 10:15 a.m. Friday just before Fish Springs Road, north of Sutcliffe.
Washoe County Deputies say a semi-truck and a pickup collided head-on on a dirt road after the pickup tried to pass another semi and didn't see the other vehicle in a cloud of dust.
And the driver of the pickup had to be extricated and was flown by Careflight to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno for treatment.
There's no word on his condition.
The Pyramid Lake Paiute tribe says the semis were on the road doing work in the area.
