A Carson City man was found guilty Friday of sexual assaulting a young girl.
James Johnson was convicted of three counts of lewdness with a child under 14, three counts of sexual assault on a child under 15, along with one count of sexual assault on a child under 16.
The district attorney says her knew the girl through her mother, and began assaulting her when she was 8 years old. That continued until she was 15. The victim is now 17.
Eventually the victim told a friend, whose father call the Carson City Sheriff's Office.
Johnson will be sentenced in June and faces life in prison.
