Crews are responded to a fire at the Carson Landfill on Deer Run Road. According to Sierra Front, the fire started around 2:00 p.m.
Black smoke could be seen from the Alert Tahoe McClellan Peak camera.
Carson City Fire Department said it was fully contained to 100 by 100 square feet Tuesday afternoon.
The cause is still under investigation and the landfill will reopen Wednesday.
