The Junior Naturalist Program is a free outdoor program held the second Saturday of each month aimed at getting children of all ages out in local parks through games, activities and educational programs that show them the ecological value of our parks.
Children visit a different park to receive a stamp each month, and earn prizes for 6, 9, and 11 stamps.
This month the program focused on winter survival.
The next event will be held at Huffaker Park on February 9th. The program will be focusing on Geology and Volcanoes.
