Grow Your Own Nevada wants to help residents take steps to living a healthier life.
They are offering classes that will teach you how to grow your own food, by discussing composting and fertilizer basics.
The program consists of four classes that aim to support local food and healthy living.
The classes start September 18 through October 2. Each session is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Meetings will be held at the Washoe County Cooperative Extension office, on 4955 Energy Way in Reno.
It's $15 per class or $30 for all four classes. The cost covers all supplies and materials used in the class.
