A young woman was hit by a car in front of Twin City Surplus near 4th St. and Sage St. The driver stopped momentarily but left the scene before police arrived.Â
The woman was taken to Renown for treatment. Her condition was considered serious when she was taken from the scene but her current condition is unknown.
Reno Police are still investigating the incident and do not know why the woman stepped into the street.Â
They are looking for the driver and the vehicle involved. They say it may have been a beige or tan Chevy Malibu that may have sustained front end damage to the hood and possibly the windshield.Â
West-bound 4th St. will be closed as the police finish their investigation at the scene.Â
